Finance Associate

**This is a volunteer (unpaid) position.**

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about finance, accounting, and data analysis, and is looking to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment. As a Finance Associate, you will assist in various financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the finance team with monthly financial reporting and analysis

  • Learning from the accounting book

  • Sending tax receipts

  • Joining QBO monthly meetings

  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models

  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas of improvement

  • Help reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Proficient in QuickBooks

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.); experience with financial software is a plus

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various teams.

  • Passion for social impact and alignment with the mission of Spread the Love Projects.

Hours:

  • Weekly Meetings

  • Asynchronous work throughout the week

  • Average 2 hours per week
