About the Partnership

Spread the Love Projects (STLP) is partnering with C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital to allocate a portion of our proceeds toward advancing pediatric health initiatives in Michigan.

Through this collaboration within the Michigan Medicine health system, we are committed to supporting children and families facing financial and social hardship, ensuring that care extends beyond hospital walls and into the everyday realities families navigate.

This partnership reflects our belief that healthcare is strongest when compassion, community, and collaboration come together.

We are deeply grateful to Mike Hartwell and colleagues within Michigan Medicine, whose openness and guidance helped lay the foundation for this collaboration.

Why Michigan, Why Now

When STLP’s founder moved to Michigan to begin medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, it marked more than a personal and professional transition. It became an opportunity to grow Spread the Love Projects in a new community rooted in resilience, compassion, and service.

STLP was built over years in Pittsburgh through the support of family, close friends, hospital partners, and a deeply connected local network. Expanding this work to Michigan, especially within Metro Detroit, means honoring that same spirit while building new relationships with communities, organizations, and individuals who share a commitment to uplifting others.

Metro Detroit is home to a diverse and deeply caring community, with people and partners who understand the importance of showing up for one another. This partnership represents an important first step in establishing STLP’s presence in Michigan and creating a local foundation of trust, collaboration, and impact.

What this Partnership does:
