STLP Partners with Michigan Medicine

January 8, 2026

Spread the Love Projects (STLP) is proud to announce a new partnership with C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, dedicating a portion of organizational proceeds to support pediatric health initiatives across Michigan. This partnership marks an important milestone for STLP as the organization expands its impact beyond Pittsburgh and into the Michigan community.
When STLP’s founder relocated to Michigan to begin medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, it marked the start of a new chapter—one filled with opportunity, but also the challenge of building community from the ground up.
“Spread the Love Projects was built over years in Pittsburgh, alongside family, close friends, hospital partners, and an incredible support system,” the founder shared. “Bringing that same spirit, integrity, and impact to Michigan felt daunting at first. There was no local team, no established network—just belief in the mission and a lot of persistence.”
That persistence paid off through meaningful connections with leaders who shared a commitment to community-centered care. STLP extends special thanks to Mike Hartwell and colleagues within Michigan Medicine, whose willingness to understand not just what the organization does—but why it exists—helped lay the foundation for this partnership. Their guidance has been instrumental in ensuring that STLP’s work in Michigan begins with intention, collaboration, and respect for the systems already serving families.
Through this partnership with C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and the Michigan Medicine health system, Spread the Love Projects will:
  • Support pediatric patients and families facing financial and social hardship
  • Collaborate directly with hospital leadership to identify where community-based support can make the greatest impact
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and respect for frontline care teams
“This partnership represents more than an expansion—it’s an opportunity to recreate the same joy, trust, and community that STLP has built over years in Pittsburgh, now here in Michigan,” the founder added. “I’m deeply thankful for the people who made this possible and committed to doing this work the right way.”
Spread the Love Projects looks forward to growing alongside Michigan’s medical and community leaders as it continues its mission to close healthcare equity gaps and uplift families navigating pediatric health challenges.
